Man charged in shooting of three women

Today Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charged Delonte Ahshone Thomas, 20, with three counts of attempted second degree murder and three counts of first degree assault in the July 9th shooting of three women in North Minneapolis.

At approximately 1:30 am on July 9th Minneapolis Police were dispatched to a shooting at 3500 block of Fremont Ave N.  Witnesses reported Thomas was carrying a black semi-automatic gun, got into a disagreement with other party guests and left the party. According to the complaint, Thomas later returned and fired a series of gunshots. 

All three of the victims had serious injuries, and were taken to North Memorial where they had surgery.

The defendant is in custody. Bail has been requested in the amount of one million dollars.
