Murder charge against man who shot his neighbor
A Minneapolis man was charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of his neighbor, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Thursday.
Edward Frank Holzinger, 61, is expected to make his first appearance Friday. Prosecutors are asking for $1 million bail.
According to the criminal complaint, Holzinger shot his neighbor, Bruce Wayne Brown, 47, because they had been feuding over a lawn mower. Holzinger shot Brown while standing on his front porch, placed the 9 mm handgun on a chair in his living room and then went outside to wait for police to arrive and arrest him.
