Man charged with four counts in Minneapolis parking ramp assaults

A Minneapolis man was charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct in connection with an assault at a downtown parking ramp, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Friday.

Peijan Hodges, 22, was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He is expected to make his first appearance Monday afternoon.

According to the criminal complaint, a woman took the elevator in parking Ramp C, 318 Second Ave. N., about 4: 30 p.m. Tuesday. At level 6, Hodges entered the elevator. At level 7, the woman got off and was in the driver’s seat of her car when Hodges grabbed the door to keep it from closing. He took the woman’s car keys and pushed her into the backseat. During the assault, the woman honked her horn several times and ultimately two witnesses noticed the struggle and contacted police, the complaint states.

When Hodges left the car, one of the witnesses yelled to a man getting off the elevator to stop Hodges. The man chased him, and at one point had a hold of him, but he got away and was last seen running down Fourth Street, the complaint states.

Hodges was arrested Thursday in downtown Minneapolis.
