Minneapolis man found guilty of first-, second-degree murder in 2023 drive-by shooting

A Hennepin County jury delivered guilty verdicts against Tremaine Michael Bucholz, 27, in the killing of Stevi Palacio on Aug. 9, 2023, in Minneapolis.

Mr. Bucholz was found guilty of first-degree murder while committing a drive-by shooting and second-degree intentional murder.

“My thoughts are with Stevi’s family today,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “No verdict will return her to them, but Mr. Bucholz will be held accountable for the senseless violence he committed, and a lengthy sentence will ensure no one else is harmed.”

Mr. Bucholz is currently scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 30, 2024, at 11:15 a.m.
