Orky Xayachack sentenced to 400 months for fatal 2023 shooting

12/17/2024

Orky Xayachack, 38, was sentenced to 400 months after the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office secured guilty pleas to second-degree intentional murder and prohibited person in possession of a firearm in early December.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of Ricardo Pena Martinez in November 2023.

“Mr. Xayachack is being held accountable for this callous act of violence,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “My thoughts are with Mr. Pena Martinez’s family and, while no sentence of any length returns a loved one, I hope they find some measure of peace in today’s result.”

Case Number: 27-CR-23-24961
