Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty statement on MN Department of Human Rights-MPD enforceable agreement

3/31/2023

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty released the following statement after the Minnesota Department of Human Rights and City of Minneapolis announced they had entered into a court-enforceable settlement agreement related to an alleged pattern or practice of race discrimination by the Minneapolis Police Department:

“This agreement appears comprehensive and well-designed to help improve community safety across the city and build trust with the community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the city and MPD as they work to implement it.”
