County Attorney Freeman, many staffers to visit National Night Out events

8/6/2018

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman will visit National Night Out gatherings in Hennepin County on Tuesday. In addition, 265 staff members from the county attorney’s office will fan out across the county to talk with people at large community events as well as neighborhood block parties.

“National Night Out is my favorite event of the year,” Freeman said. “It’s great for me and the county attorney office’s staff to meet people, tell them what our office is doing and listen to their concerns. Plus, it’s just great seeing neighbors getting to know each other better, which is the best way to prevent crime.”

Freeman and the rest of the staff will talk about nuisance properties, be@school, curfew and juvenile diversion and other county attorney programs designed to reduce crime, strengthen neighborhoods throughout Hennepin County and keep minors out of the criminal justice system.
