Parents charged with abuse, neglect of their children

Sheila Wilson was charged with three counts of neglect, one day after her significant other, Jerry Curry, was charged with physical and sexual abuse, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman told a news conference (YouTube) Thursday.

Wilson, 48, and Curry, 51, carried out the crimes in their South Minneapolis home for several years, according to the criminal complaints. Curry made a first appearance Thursday and his bail was set at $750,000. Police are searching for Wilson and prosecutors will be asking for $750,000 in bail.

"The conduct of these two people, if we prove it in court, is as repulsive and horrendous as anything I've seen in my 18 years as county attorney," Freeman said in his news conference.
