Defendant names released in cases which involved Eden Prairie Police Detective

The names of the defendants whose cases involved Eden Prairie Police Detective Travis Serafin were released by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office Thursday.

Last week, David Brown, chief deputy county attorney, announced that the county attorney’s office had been contacting the defense attorneys of more than 40 defendants whose cases were charged but not completed as of Sept. 22, 2017. That was the date when Serafin filed a falsified search warrant with the court.

The list provides the name of the defendant, the status of the case and Serafin’s role in the case. Along with the defendant’s name there also is the prosecutor file number. That number provides verification that anyone looking for the cases has found the correct one.
