11/1/2019
A Minneapolis woman has been charged with second-degree murder for shooting the father of her child at her apartment, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Friday.
Tahdreona Andrews, 26, shot and killed 31-year-old Justin Harris, and is currently in custody in Wisconsin so no first court appearance in Hennepin County has been scheduled.
According to the criminal complaint, on Wednesday, police responded to a report from witnesses of a dead body at Andrews’ apartment in the 3900 block of Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis. The witnesses entered her apartment after they could not contact Andrews and worried something might be wrong.
Harris’ body was found by witnesses with at least three gunshot wounds, the complaint states.
Andrews was arrested Thursday in Hudson, Wisconsin by the police where she admitted to shooting Harris, the complaint says. Prosecutors are seeking a warrant to bring her back to Hennepin County.
