Three former MPD officers involved in George Floyd's death make first appearances

A day after J. Alexander Kueng, 26, Thomas Lane, 37, and Tou Thao, 34, were arrested and charged in the death of George Floyd, each made their first appearance in court Thursday. All three have been charged with one count of aiding and abetting unintentional second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
At the Thursday hearing, bail was set at $1M apiece for the three former MPD officers. The next appearance for Kueng, Lane, and Thao is June 29.
