Truck driver Bogdan Vechirko case deferred pending further investigation

The case against 35-year-old Bogdan Vechirko, of Otsego, who drove his tanker truck towards a crowd of protests Sunday, has been deferred pending further investigation, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Tuesday.

Vechirko will be released from jail.

Investigators are in the process of gathering additional information and answers to aid in the charging decision.
