Hennepin County Attorney's Office response to 2021 carjacking and robbery detail

Update

Our office has charged additional cases stemming from this law enforcement detail. As we have stated before, details of this nature will result in arrests for a variety of offenses:

Travis Bradshaw, 28, of Minneapolis, charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, incident occurred January 26 at 1504 Lake Street W. in Minneapolis.

Namari Love Tanner, 20, charged with fifth-degree drug possession, incident occurred January 26 at Chicago Avenue and 24th Street in Minneapolis.

D’mani Wickliffe-Palmore, 23, of Minneapolis, charged with felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition and fifth-degree drug possession, incident occurred January 26 at 10th Avenue South and Lake Street in Minneapolis.

Douglas Geshick, 20, charged with felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition, incident occurred January 26 at 2400 block of Ogema Place in Minneapolis.

Jermaine Bolden, 24, of St. Paul, charged with first-degree aggravated robbery, incident occurred January 17 at 400 46th Street East in Minneapolis.

Dajone Turner, 29, of Minneapolis, charged with fifth-degree drug possession, incident occurred January 27 at 25th Street East and 1st Avenue East in Minneapolis.

Charles Rodacker-Waye, 23, of Minneapolis, charged with second-degree assault, incident occurred October 27 at 42nd Street East and Minnehaha Avenue South.

Omari Thomas, 42, of Minneapolis, charged with threats of violence, incident occurred January 25 at 30th Avenue North and Emerson Avenue North in Minneapolis.

Shawn Ulven, 29, of Bloomington, charged with second-degree assault, incident occurred October 27 at 42nd Street East and Minnehaha Avenue South.
Case number 27-CR-21-1964.
Mohamed Hussein, 31, of Minneapolis, charged with theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and fleeing a peace officer, incidents occurred January 28 at 12th Avenue South in Minneapolis.

Original press release

A recent carjacking and robbery detail announced by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the Minneapolis Police Department, stated there were “46 arrests” and “69-felony-level charges” made between Jan. 26-28. Our office has been presented with 12 cases thus far, five of which have been charged. Law enforcement details of this nature will result in arrests for a variety of offenses.

Craig Stevens, 48, of Minneapolis, charged with fifth-degree drug possession, incident occurred January 27 at 3704 Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis.

Teddy Williams, 37, of Minneapolis, charged with fifth-degree drug possession, and two counts of fleeing a police officer, incident occurred on January 28 at 31st Street in Minneapolis.
Case number 27-CR-21-1986.
Trevaughn Bradley, 23, of Minneapolis, charged with two counts of fifth-degree drug possession, incident occurred on January 28 on Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis.
Case number 27-CR-21-1999.
Douglas Burkhalter, 22, of Minneapolis, charged with fifth-degree sale, incident occurred on January 28 at 2535 Clinton Avenue South.

Peter Nyuma, 20, of Minneapolis, charged with fifth-degree drug sale, incident occurred January 28 at 2535 Clinton Avenue South.

As always, if the investigations into any of the others arrested result in cases being submitted to the county attorney’s office, they will be reviewed for possible felony charges.
