7/19/2021
On July 19, Trevor Nielsen received a presumptive guidelines sentence of a stay of imposition for three years with 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to one count of felony interference with a minor on May 20, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced Monday.
As part of the plea agreement, in addition to the jail time, Nielsen, 41, of Elk River, must attend sex offender treatment.
In September 2019, after a nearly year-long investigation, Nielsen was caught with a hidden camera in a Mall of America fitting room and resulted in him being charged with interference with a minor under 18 and being three years older. He was also caught with evidence that he did this at various stores, swimming pools and one high school across the Twin Cities.
