Maple Grove woman sentenced for fatally shooting boyfriend

On Feb. 7, 31-year-old Stephanie Clark, of Maple Grove, was sentenced to 306-months in prison for fatally shooting her boyfriend back in March 2020, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Monday.

A Hennepin County jury convicted Clark of intentional second-degree murder on Oct. 14 after deliberating for little more than four hours. Clark received 124 days of credit for time already served.

Per the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines, Clark received the presumptive sentence of 306-months. The State requested a top of the box sentence of 367-months in prison.
