Bendson sentenced for fatal hit-and-run

On Mar. 4, 21-year-old Cameron Bendson, of Minneapolis, was sentenced to 50-months in prison for striking and killing a woman on a mobility scooter in October 2021, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Friday.

Bendson pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide on Jan. 4.

In addition to his prison sentence, Bendson will be subject to a five-year conditional release period once he’s served his time in prison. Bendson received 144 days of credit for time already served.
