12/19/2025
A Hennepin County jury delivered guilty verdicts against Lavester Tremaine Breham, 34, and Dandre Franklin, 36, for the 2023 murder of Mikiyel Deshone Patton.
Mr. Breham and Mr. Franklin were tried as part of the same trial and were both convicted of one count of first-degree premeditated murder and one count of second-degree intentional murder.
The first-degree murder convictions carry a mandatory sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
“My thoughts are with Mr. Patton’s loved ones as this case nears its conclusion,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “This was a ruthless, targeted, and premeditated killing. These two men will do no more harm to our community. I am grateful to our trial team and to the jury for securing these guilty verdicts, and to our victim services staff for their work supporting Mr. Patton’s loved ones.”
Mr. Breham and Mr. Franklin were indicted by a grand jury in May 2024.
Sentencing is currently scheduled for January 15 at 3 p.m. (Franklin) and 3:30 p.m. (Breham).
