Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charges Joshua Rocha in Bloomington shooting

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charged Joshua Rocha, 21, with the following charges related to an incident near the Mall of America:

Three counts of intentional second-degree attempted murder
Three counts of first-degree assault, use of deadly force against a peace officer

“This was an eminently dangerous situation, and these charges reflect the current evidence and the seriousness of the incident. I am grateful no lives were lost,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “Evidence and information are still being gathered and will be assessed to ensure charging accuracy.”
