Hennepin County Attorney's Office declines charges stemming from January arrest

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office released the following statement addressing potential charges stemming from January arrest:

"The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office submitted a case to the HCAO on Jan. 14 for review as to whether charges were appropriate. The case review was prioritized following the recent revelation of video capturing part of the incident.

For reasons outlined in the attached letter, the HCAO declines to issue charges in this case.

No case regarding law enforcement’s use-of-force has been submitted to our office and any analysis of its propriety falls outside the scope of this review."
