Myshun Logan sentenced to 480 months for 2021 murder

1/8/2025

Myshun Steven Cason Logan, 38, was sentenced Wednesday to 40 years for the fatal shooting of Roland Hopewell on Sept. 21, 2021.

Mr. Logan pleaded guilty to second-degree intentional murder on Dec. 10, 2024.

“This was a disturbing act of callous violence,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “A long sentence is necessary to protect the public and bring accountability to Mr. Logan. Our thoughts are with Mr. Hopewell’s family as this case reaches its conclusion.”

Mr. Logan has 337 days of credit for time served.

Case Number: 27-CR-21-18090
