Minneapolis man sentenced for 2023 fatal crash

Presley Aaron Peltier, 28, was sentenced to 78 months in prison Monday for one count of criminal vehicular homicide from an incident occurring on July 18, 2023, and one count of fleeing in a motor vehicle from an incident occurring on Aug. 26, 2023.

“Andrew Hyde was enjoying driving his prized 1964 Chevrolet Impala convertible on a sunny July day when he was killed by Mr. Peltier in another tragic instance of reckless driving. Our thoughts are with his family,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “In both of these incidents, Mr. Peltier showed blatant disregard for the safety of those around him and he is being held accountable.”

Mr. Peltier has 496 days of credit for time served.
