Brooklyn Park man pleads guilty to murder charge from 2024 homicide
9/30/2025
Curtis Edward Jackson, 29, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of second-degree intentional murder from the April 2024 killing of his cousin, Marcus Williams, Jr.
Under the terms of the plea, Mr. Jackson will be sentenced to between 280 and 367 months with the exact length to be determined at the sentencing hearing.
“My thoughts are with Mr. Williams’ family as this case moves toward resolution,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “No amount of prison time will return what was taken from them, but the length of the sentence ensures the community will be protected from Mr. Jackson. This was yet another instance of an argument that needlessly escalated to gun violence and brought tragedy to our community.”
Mr. Jackson is currently scheduled to be sentenced on November 3 at 9 a.m.
