Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charges two individuals in death of Amos Ferrier, investigation continues for third

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced charges against Janaya Frost and Jordan Frost in an incident on May 15 that led to the death of Amos Ferrier.

An investigation to confirm the identity of a third individual, who is believed to have been the driver, is ongoing. Evidence to prove their identity has not yet been developed beyond a reasonable doubt; updates will be provided when available.

The charges filed today are:

Janaya Frost

  • Aiding an offender - accomplice after the fact
  • Aiding an offender to avoid arrest

Jordan Frost

  • Aiding an offender – accomplice after the fact

“Our thoughts are with Amos Ferrier’s family and the community that loved him,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “We are continuing our work to develop as robust a case as possible. Amos should be with his family and, while prosecution cannot bring him back, we will hold those responsible accountable.”

The next court date for Ms. Frost is currently scheduled for May 22, 2026.
