Heller sentenced to lifetime prison term for fatal beating of girlfriend

On Sept. 23, 44-year-old Timothy Heller was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his girlfriend in February 2021, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Monday.
A jury found Heller guilty of two counts of murder on September 9, 2022: First Degree Domestic Abuse Murder and Second Degree Murder While Committing a Felony.
Heller was sentenced to life in prison. He will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years at the Department of Corrections.
Victim impact statements were read at the sentencing by the victim's daughter and cousin.
